2020 Reading List

Table of Contents

13 books this year. I definitely missed some re-reads. Roughly in order of how much I enjoyed them.

A Promised Land - An excellent candid look at Obama's first 4 years in office. He is a beautiful writer and a great speaker. I love that he gives the backstory and context on issues before diving in. Get the audiobook which he reads himself.

How to Get Rich - Felix is a character and gives unconventional advice like never give out a single share of equity. Ignore the title and give the book a shot.

The Almanack of Naval Ravikant: A Guide to Wealth and Happiness - The world would be better off if everyone read this.

Narconomics: How to Run a Drug Cartel - Freakonomics for cartels.

Children of Time - One of the best sci-fi books I have read in a while.

Billion Dollar Loser: The Epic Rise and Spectacular Fall of Adam Neumann and WeWork - Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Reminiscent of Bad Blood without the actual crimes.

Ready Player Two - This is a silly book and not nearly as good as the first, but it was still a fun read.

Dune

The Narrow Road: A Brief Guide to the Getting of Money - Basically How to Get Rich (great book) distilled into lessons.

Artemis - Nowhere near as good as the Martian, but still entertaining and original.

Boundless: Upgrade Your Brain, Optimize Your Body Defy Aging - Like the 4 Hour Body with more words and less science.

Robopocalypse - Mildly entertaining, but nothing special.

Cibola Burn
