2013 New Years Goals

Finish 4 Hour Chef cooking plan. 2 meals a week for 12 weeks. Easy enough. This summer I had a streak of eating chipotle everyday for about 2 weeks so introducing a little cooking to my life is probably for the best.

Try the Paleo Diet for 30 days. I read The Paleo Solution over the summer and have been eager to try the diet ever since. I think this will be easier to do while cooking the 4 hour chef meals because all of the recipes abide by slow carb diet which is very close to Paleo.

Bench 300lbs. This has been a random goal of mine for a while. Right now I’m closer than I have ever been with a max around 250/260. I hope to reach this within the next 3 months.

Call an out of state friend once a week. After Macalester many of my friends moved throughout the country and I haven’t been great at keeping in touch with many of them. It’s easy to get caught up in my little bubble of work, athletics, and friends within walking distance. I think this will be easy in the winter when I can call people on my drive home, but in the summer I bike everyday so it’s going to take more effort.

Simplify and focus my life. I have a ton of interests and constantly get side tracked with new ones. I want to focus my energy this year and complete more projects before moving on to the next thing. This also includes getting rid of junk. I would love to donate/throw away anything I haven’t used in a year, but we’ll see how that goes.
